Mourning wreaths were an integral part of the early
phase of Victorian mourning practice. A wreath on
the door signified to outsiders that the inhabitants
were in mourning and probably shouldn't be
disturbed.

Use this wreath however you like: as decor, to make
a statement to outsiders or for Halloween.

Rather than the traditional crepe and greenery,
we've made this wreath from longer lasting satin
ribbons and artificial flowers. In the center we've
added a reproduction Victorian Mourning card.
